Catching up

A lot has happened since my last daily news.  We are having so much fun staying busy with our two litters that I haven’t taken the time to update things.

On Tuesday of this week, Wrap’s litter went for their first vet visit and deworming.  They all weighed in over a pound with a couple of them weighing over 2 pounds!  They made the trip well, but were sure anxious to see Mama again!

The big outdoors

Honey’s litter got their first taste of outside.  The weather was beautiful here today and so we took them out as a group to test how they would do in a totally new and big surrounding.  They were a little nervous (for about 10 seconds) and then started romping and exploring.  They ran round a good bit, and practiced their jumping and pouncing.  They loved the fresh air and sunshine.  After their play time, we brought them back inside for food and they slept most of the afternoon resting up after the excitement.  We will take them back out tomorrow and let them have some more fun in the sun before our next cold spell comes.

Big Day!

Today has been a big day for both litters.  Honey’s litter went for their second worming today at the vet’s.  They weren’t too sure about traveling in the big crate at first, but soon settled in for the ride.  They are all growing well.  They will get their big vet check, first shots and eye exams with a animal eye doctor in two weeks.  This will mean they will get to travel to the big city of Austin to visit the eye doctor.  This will help get them used to trips in the car so they will be good travellers once they are ready to join their new families!  After that, people that have paid deposits will get to pick their puppy in the order I had received the deposits.

Changing every day!

Boy, do puppies grow fast!  We are amazed at how much they seem to change each day.

Honey’s puppies are learning to jump and pounce on each other and are playing more.  They are also doing great with eating their puppy food mixed with milk and yogurt to help their digestion.  They each get time out of the pen to play and cuddle with one of the kids every day and some of them have starting “asking” for their attention time!  They are going to make great companions and life-long friends for some very lucky families!
